Icon Denim Pants Blowout!
I recently purchased a new pair of Icon Standard Denim Jeans w/ kevlar reinforced knees on overstock clearance from eBay and thought I got a pretty decent deal at $38 shipped.
I took the pants out for a practice ride around the parking lot(new rider) for roughly an hour. When I got off, I felt a strange breeze between my legs and realized that there was a massive tear in the pants; a 10" tear under the right pocket, and a 4-5" tear under the left. As there is no warranty on the pants, do you think there's any way I can get reimbursed by Icon? If not, any ideas on how to salvage these pants/kevlar knee lining? I realize I took a chance at some cheap gear, but I am definitely surprised at the quality of the pair of pants I received. I can understand a tear like this from a fall, but not after an hour of very light use. Thankfully I didn't have to experience the wrath of the denim jeans on a spill, so I'm glad about that. I'm sure some of you will get a kick out of this story. I think I'm going to have to switch to All the Leather, All the Time.

wow!!! that is just from riding around for an hr?!! they must of been a cheap Chinese copy. I would leave a good review for the seller on ebay but a BAD for the ITEM. to warn others not to get em.
And for the icon replacement... since ebay i would doupt it and dont have an official receipt from a authorized dealer. |

Hmm, I was thinking this thread was going to be about some crazy "blowout" sale on Icon jeans but literally it was about a blowout of the ass on these jeans.

Bought them from ebay for $38? No wonder they were terrible quality...No experience with Icon's riding jeans, but I wouldn't necessarily blame them first...

I don't get why Icon (and whomever else) don't pair up with proper jean designers.
Get Levi's or Diesel to design the jeans with high quality denim, then throw in the kevlar reinforcement and armour. Most of these motorcycle jeans look ugly and feel cheap (and are cheap, evidently). |

Someone beat me to the fart comment haha I don't think riding jeans work out but with the icon name, they should be good. Hope they replace them.
Try compacc.com and their Sliders Kevlar reinforced jeans. I have Sliders Kevlar All Season pants and they rock!! I wore them from June til now and they truly are all season. |
