whispering sound

how come my bike makes this whispering sound sometimes.
what is that sound?

Sounds like the very common whispering / hissing sound that comes from the tank on a hot day when it is venting.

Ok we are all just being funny. tin there is a thread somewhere showing how to alter your cap. But most of us like the noise and let it alone. search " gas tank hissing " etc... Gas cap Mod....

is it saying "get out..." or something similar?

go do a few wheelies in a church and see if that fixes it. if the bike starts spazzing out and doing all sorts of crazy **** (lights flickering, engine revving on its own, blood coming out the exhaust) you've isolated the problem.

Wow. Just found this thread. My Ninjette started doing this for the first time in the hours after I accidentally rode her into a ditch

I thought she was crying!

That day also happened to be one of the warmest days I had ridden her, so maybe the ditch was unrelated and it was just the heat cause the air to be compressed in the tank.

Anyway: I guess I now know that my bike isn't sentient.

I had that problem before, simply because I put too much oil. Check your oil level and make sure it doesn't go above the line, it has to be slightly below..
