[cycleworld.com] - How Much Power Does the 2023 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 Make?

How much power does the 2023 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 produce? We run the British urban adventure bike on the Cycle World dyno to find out.

Click here to view on their site.

The 2023 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is an ultraversatile British urban adventure bike that packs approachability on nearly every level. Superfriendly power delivery from triumph’s ultrarefined inline-triple technology, a relatively low 491-pound measured wet weight, and friendly seat height make the Tiger an enticing motorcycle for any rider. The $9,495 MSRP is icing on the cake.

The Tiger Sport 660 shares the same basic platform as the well-received Trident 660 roadster, including the liquid-cooled 659cc inline-triple engine. The engine is very nearly related to the original Daytona 675 and Street Triple 660 that’s available in foreign markets. Stroke has decreased from 52.3mm to 51.1mm to decrease the displacement, while 67 new components tune the power characteristics for approachability and tightening emissions standards.

The 2023 Triumph Tiger Sport 660’s horsepower and torque figures recorded on the Cycle World dyno. (Robert Martin Jr./)We placed the Tiger Sport 660 on the Cycle World dyno ahead of an upcoming comparison test with like-sized models, recording horsepower and torque measurements. The Tiger produced a peak 71.82 hp at 10,100 rpm and 40.83 lb.-ft. of torque at 8,570 rpm. The most impressive aspect? The remarkably flat torque curve with nearly 90 percent of its torque readily available from 3,500 rpm. Combined with a linear power delivery that pulls all the way until its 10,250 rpm redline makes for real-world flexibility.

Talk about approachability.
