Handlebar bent/ Throttle stuck/ help a newbie

I left my bike at my gf's apartment (we go to a large university) and when I checked it in the morning I noticed my bike was messed with. Once I started riding the bike I noticed the front break lever was farther than normal, the throttle was sticking, and my mirror was up. I checked carefully and the bike was dropped on its right side but picked back up (which is why the mirror was up/fairings were cracked).
I'm a new rider and dont want to have insurance cover it, where should I buy a right handlebar, how do I fix the throttle, and what tools do I need in order to get the job done? Im fine with replacing the handlebar with stock parts unless you guys suggest otherwise.

Free bump for more views. The thing that sticks out as most important is the sticking throttle. You need to figure out what it is catching on, and get it back to rotating smoothly. Everything else is cosmetic (assuming the brake lever still engages and disengages as expected).

As a guess, the throttle will quit sticking when you either straighten the bent bar, or replace it with a new one. The tube that has the grip on it rotates on the handlebar, and if the bar is bent, it can get tight.

+1 to bend it back, its actually not too hard. Find an open pole that fits over the handle bar and have someone hold the steering column still and you can gently bend it back.

You can take a quick look at your grip and your bar end... Maybe the grip is touching the bar end preventing it to rotate back to its closed position.

The bent bar is another good option...

Husband and I just replaced my bent handlebar, and my throttle was hanging just a little because the rubber was grabbing the bar-end. He squished it up away from the bar end and now it's fine. I was thinking we were going to have to take the throttle off and lube the cable/unstick it but it turned out to be something simple.

We got the new handlebar from our local bike shop, and replaced it pretty easily. Screwdriver and I think an allen bolt did it. Look at the exploded parts diagrams, and you should be able to replace it.

If the 2012 is like the older bikes it should only take a 6mm hex wrench and a Phillips screwdriver to replace the bar.
