This was my first time ever riding on my new bike, I was practicing in a parking lot near my home (hubby road it up for me. LOL) Since I got my license in 2009, I hadn't touched a bike again until April 2012 so I was practicing starting and stopping.
Please excuse the Suzuki/Hayabusa helmet, it was all I had. (I was usually a passenger on my hubby's bike.) My helmet was on order at the time this pic was taken. (And since then, hubby has traded in the 'busa for a ZX-10.

Here's a recent pic - now I'm more comfortable and have put a little over 200 miles on my bike. Hubby and I were playing around taking pics so that's why you don't see me with gear...we just rolled down the hill by our house. LOL I hope I posted these pics okay...still new at this.

Do you guys ever ride out pf howard county? Im in de not to far maybe we could all do a ride someday... i road to southern md 2 weeks ago. Was nice on the way down but the rain sucked on the way back.... lol

Hi, yes my husband rides. He's got a zx-10. I haven't gone further than 30 miles in one direction yet lol but if you are ever down passing in this area again would be happy to meet up and ride for a while.

That's ok. First gear stuff is the hardest to master. Once you get that down, 2nd-6th gear is easy...and that's where the fun is at! LOL!

That is SO true! LOL I didn't know until my first ride out on the open roads 3 days later what a HUGE difference riding in a lot was compared to the streets.

The hardest part for me was smooth shifting from 2nd to 6th but once i took to riding and spring hit to allow me to really take to riding i actually didnt notice that I didnt have to attempt to shift smoothly anymore it just came naturally.... my clutch has thanked me ever since
