I'm thinking about changing it to a different clock that has a built in light. I hated not being able to tell what time it was while I was riding.

Bah, she's a young pup, plenty of miles left in her.

Though, wow, 1000 in 14 years?? Have I missed a story somewhere? *digs through forum*

The quick version of the story, that maybe someday I'll actually write the whole long story of, is that my girlfriend's cousin had the bike in her garage. She put like 7 miles on it from when it was titled to her to when I bought it. She was scared of riding, and wanted to sell the bike to someone that would genuinely take care of it and respect it. I got lucky, basically. The bike and my Dianese jacket were a price that made it completely impossible to say no. A few hundred dollars less than $1000.00 type of good price.

Purchased with 92 miles on her, last August.

Ah ha! Just found the story too. Wicked that you are taking such good care of your little bike. She's in good hands!

Thanks. I appreciate that. She's a great little machine. I'd like a bigger bike for long distance cruises, but I absolutely love her in the twisties. Ninjettes are just so flickable.

*hugs the poor Ninja* he didn't mean it, you're a perfectly good little long distance cruiser. I know what you can do, I know you like getting out and about seeing the wide world. You'll have a chance, he'll see. He'll see what a capable little mile eater you are.

I think it's a wonderful bike. I've taken it on highways before, I just don't like the feels I get when it's at 8k doing 65mph in 6th. I know I can change the sprockets and lower that a little bit, but that's a trade off for low end response which I enjoy in the twisties. Honestly she's a wonderful machine. Unlike a 600, you can really get on a smaller displacement bike and legally enjoy riding aggressive.

Nice clock. I've seen a lot of people use watches on the triple clamp. It's nice if you get an indiglow one with an easy button to push.

Oh, and holy cow! 1k miles and less than $1000? I thought I got a good deal when my '98 was free with 10k miles. I'm technically the fourth and second owner. I bought it from the oringal owner at a year old and 2k miles for $2200. Sold it to a friend at 5k miles for $1500. Then someone tried to steal it and it sat for five years at 10k miles with a broken ignition. Then last year he gave it back to me for free.
