Tire inner tubes

Ok, so I have a 2004 ninja 250 and I'm having the tires swapped out on friday. I bought the tires separately the front is 100/80 16 Michelin City Grip Scooter Tires and the rear is 130/80 16 Pirelli Diablo Scooter Tires from CycleGear.com (I realize they should prob be the same brand but my wallet thought otherwise). My question is how do I tell if I need inner tubes? And if I do need them what size? I hadn't paid much attention to it until today because I just assumed that if they were necessary they would be included but when I checked it was just the tires. The product description on the website doesn't mention it nor do the michelin or pirelli websites so if anyone knows please let me know! Thanks!

It will state on the tire if it is tubeless or not.

Not many motorcycle tires today still have tubes.

Do you know where exactly on the tire I should be looking? will it simply say "Tubeless" or is there something else tot look for?

I'm sure that both tires you bought are tubeless.

lol yea I wasn't even born yet! but when I made the appointment to put the tires on they asked me if I already had the inner tubes and I automatically said yes without thinking about it cause I figured it would be with the tires that I hadn't bothered to look at ... but I started getting nervous haha

You can put tubes in tubeless tires. But, few do that any more. People used to put tubes in tubeless tires because many tubeless rims used to leak a lot. Not really an issue any more.

And tubeless flats are now easier to repair thanks to tire repair plugs.

Spoked wheels can still leak. Sometimes it's easier to just toss tube in rather than tracking down every single leak and sealing it.

Well, it's a "pay me now or pay me later" proposition.

Yes, you can put in a tube to fix hard to find leaks, but then you can't just put in a plug to fix a flat when stuck on the side of the road.

Your choice.
