Header Stud Came Out of the Block??

So as i am going through my new 250, i wanted to remove the exhaust system to clean it up since parts of it were rusty. One of the studs came out of the block.. .What do i do? Just treat it as a bolt now? Ive never had this happen on any bike that i have owned so im at a lose and a quick search didnt yield any results.

I would run a tap through the threads in the block to be sure they are ok. if any damage happened the tap will clean it up, as long as it wasn't bad. as for installing, if you can run the stud back in by its self do it. if not run it in with the nut and torque it the same as always.

Replace it with a new one. And new nut. I fought this on my KLR for years before replacing it.

There is always corrosion slowly happening between the steel of the stud and the aluminum of the block.
Check if the stud feels too loose inside the thread.
If so, there is some damage in the aluminum thread that will only become worse with time, temperature cycles and vibrations.
Some high temperature mild thread locking compound may help there.
If not, just place two nuts jammed against each other at the external end and use them to drive the stud in as deep as safe, not over-torquing much.
