Good waterproof motorcycle camera?

I want to catch the next *insert colorful word here* who cuts me off.

Does anyone have a motorcycle camera, like a GoPro or Contour, etc?

I am shopping for one but never owned one, and would like to start using one when I get a new bike.

I guess the main things I'm looking for are:
- Relatively inexpensive, but I would pay for quality.
- WATERPROOF, I live in Vancouver... a rainforest.
- Expandable memory is preferred but not necessary
- Long battery life.

Any suggestions?

Contour Roam 2 is waterproof without the annoying case. I like the Contour line as it has Bluetooth built in so you can use your phone as a viewfinder (Android at least, not sure if they've got it so where iOS works too.) and about $100 less than a GoPro (depending on model).

Drift HD Ghost, which has been reconstructed from the ground up and just came out in November. I personally don't have one, but I'm looking to get one soon and based on the reviews from Youtube, it comes with a lot of nice stuff. It's waterproof up to 9 feet out of the box, so you don't need external casing, unless you go deeper than that. It has a long battery life (up to 3 hours), nice RF remote (so you know when you're recording), Drift FlashbackTM Video Tag/Loop (so you don't miss things as you're recording), etc.

Contour Roam

It's essier to turn on and off while it's on your head with its massive slide switch, you don't have to take it out of any housing, comes with a swivel mount perfect for quick on and off the helmet, it's a lot cheaper than most other models and it has decent mage quality.

About $100 on sale most places.

My most recent clip from my Contour Roam.

Another option is a cheap used GoPro... The HD Hero2 is a great camera and guys are unloading them cheap on Craigslist now that the HD Hero3 came out. I've still got a 1st Gen and it does fine:

Gopro hands down! Contour doesn't have a case you can just replace if you have an incident and it hits the asphalt. I don't have a Contour but from what I have heard from vidseos on Youtube the case also cuts the wind noise a bit.

Not only does the contour have a case you can just replace if you have an incident that also cuts wind noise, it's cheaper to buy a contour with a case then it is to buy a GoPro with a case.

She's talking about the original Contour Roam "just discontinued" which you can pick up for as little as $100 if you're smart.

I have both cameras (Go Pro Hero 2 and Original Contour Roam)..

Get a contour roam 2 -- it's 169.99 on amazon and is very low profile on the side of your helmet. 720P@60FPS is all you will ever truly need and it's easy to turn on and off while riding (slide forward for on/back for off).

Putting tape over the mic hole is a good way to cut wind noise on a contour
