Great video. We often don't appreciate the job that policemen and policewomen do until we are in need of them. They realy do not get paid enough for the dangerous job that they do.

yeah that is something that my dad had said to me. He told me to never be a cop because they don't get paid enough for what they do for society. He has been one for over 20 years for Dallas PD. But he goes in everydayd and does his best at his job regardless of what he gets paid. He taught me what a good work ethic is and that is something i will never lose for the rest of my life.

This is great because it's so true. While I admittedly don't always enjoy the work of traffic cops specifically, at the same time, I know that if I get pulled over, I was more likely than not the one in the wrong. My mom worked in the evidence room as a property officer for the LAPD when I was growing up, and I had my life saved by police on more than one occasion so I have all the respect in the world for those guys.
Not that there aren't bad cops out there, of course, but unfortunately, your only as strong as your weakest link in the eyes of society. Props to anyone committed to such a thankless and dangerous job |

Like a lot of things the "bad cops" tend to get the spotlight and lead the public to forget that the majority are good people genuinely trying to help their communities and societies at large. Some cops scare the crap out of me but most are regular people that are really nice if you get past the badge.
Heck, when the Olympics were in Vancouver this year, cops were carrying different pins and there was a lot of good interaction with them when people found out and started approaching them, taking pictures, laughing and thanking them for helping keep the streets safe during the games. It was really something. |
