Oil question

Has anyone ever had their oil filter cover gasket leak (the one the covers the screen and has 5 bolts? When my bike warms up it leaks Andy starts burning off the motor. When i look under the bike all 5 bolts have oil looking like it is about to drip. Anyone else had this issue?

If you've taken off, and not replaced the gasket, this can happen.

It's not a big deal just order a new one, and change it out during your next oil change, and while your in the neighborhood, check that screen.

Side note:.Kawasaki offers two types of gaskets, paper for the PreGen, and metal for NewGen, I personally use the NewGen one, it can be reused a few times, also suggest picking up a few spare O-rings for the filter, both sizes,,and crush walkers for the drain plugs.

Nothing sucks more than doing an oil change and getting a leak, because you didn't replace a O-rings and crush washers.

WARNING!!!! do not over tighten those bolts, they are small, and can break if you over tighten them, or strip.
