Pre-gen Case Guards?

I have a few more things to finish off my pregen race bike build. My intention is to set it up for as many race organizers as feasible for the Southern Cali area. Looking through the rule books, I've got everything well sorted except CVMA's case guard rule.

I can't find any pregen guards and was wondering if new gen ones would fit? I've searched the board a few solid times and am not coming up with anything. Has anyone else had issues complying with this requirement for Chuckwalla?

I had to edit the title as I realized that auto correct got me and called my pregen case guards "pretend" case guards.

I need real case guards for my 2004 race bike. Has anyone run 2008+ case guards on their pregen for CVMA races? Thanks.

@Alex; could you edit the thread title please? The OP intended the title to be "Pregen" not Pretend! Thanks!

Most of the case guards I've seen are just thicker aluminum. Can you have some 1/4"+ AL plate welded to your side covers?

Newgen side cases fit pregen I believe, so you could buy secondhand newgen cases & then fit newgen case guards.
