What kind of chain?

My RK 520 XSO Performance RX-Ring Chain has developed 2 tights spots and 2 kinks after 11,000 miles. I had installed in February of this year too. What kind of chains do you guys use?

If you trashed a chain in 11,000 miles you really need to rethink your chain care

Also, check your sprockets too, a lot of the "tight spots" in motorcycle chains are actually wear in the rear sprocket.

I thought I trashed the chain because it was defective. I really don't think that lubing it with MotulGP every ~400 miles was the problem. Or cleaning it with a Grunge Brush/WD 40 caused it to stretch unevenly about half a link in 500 miles. The sprockets aren't even showing any signs of wear.

Alot depends on how you use the bike. If you tend to do drag racing type takeoffs, be prepared to stretch a chain unevenly pretty quickly, and no amount of lube is gonna prevent it. Its just the nature of the beast.

The TI chain looks cool. It's not much more than a RK and less than a DID. Too bad I already ordered a replacement.

I was reading the warranty card for the chain. They claim 20,000 miles. The fine print says they'll pro-rate the cost of a new chain. I should get a new chain at 40% off.

Brief summary of the RK 20,000 mile warranty - it's worthless.
They base the pro-rated discount of a new chain on the MSRP. 520-106 is $102 + shipping + tax. Just some more marketing hype. I could understand them being strict to put a damper on claims from people on liter bikes running 520 conversions but for a 250 that doesn't even make 30hp, that's just weak.
