What a great machine we ride!
File this under some kind of romantic post-great ride gushing but in the past few weeks as my '09 Ninja 250R nears 4000km I am finding it just fits. I have yet to tweak the intake, fueling or exhaust and am going to get more comfortable with clip-ons and rear sets this month but even so this bike is treating me to some wonderful rides.
This afternoon in the Vancouver sun I took the long way home and the combination of weather, route, traffic, speed, and "nice bike" comments has me yet again thinking that anyone who thinks the 250 isn't a good bike is out of their minds. I hope you are all out enjoying similar experiences today. |

well i have the pre gen but i know what you mean by "it just fits", i always feel "in the zone" the minute i hop on it. I dont even know (or care) why that is. but its fun to push around and perfect for improving your skills.
If you re not comfortable with the feel of a`bike its hard to bulid confidence. |

Definitely get that "in the zone" feel. I can't get enough of it, every little excuse to ride my 250 and I'm off!

I identify with other machines, like a lot of people and get similar feelings when I am able to play "in it" when my guitar is in my hands but man, this bike just has something... even in traffic I feel like I'm on a potential race bike even though I'm totally behaving myself. When my wits allow for relaxed corners and smooth shifts, it's magic.

I must admit I had doubts about being happy on a 250 as opposed to going up to a 600 but I can honestly say that I feel just fine about my choice. The thing just feels right every time I hop on and turn the key. I will eventually get a bigger bike but the 250 is not going anywhere.
The best part is I believe I will be a better rider in the long run because of the 250. |

when it comes to choosing between the 250 and the 600 i usually pick the 250...yeah, as goldilocks would say, it is not too slow and not too fast, it feels just right...in the twisties, canyons, around town, and even on the freeway...

a majority of my friends on 600's are scared to lean into turns, i can throw the 250 into a corner easy
