Crazy photos and vid coming out of there. Hope the best for all, but man.... get out when the time is right. "STUFF" can be replaced, people cant.

I'm under the big one, the Thomas fire. Smoky but not crispy, with likely more of the same. Lost power the other night. It's a little sketchy out there and I feel bad for all the people who have lost their homes.
Our client this week is based out of Ventura, so a lot of people are displaced and one I know has lost his house. I guess performing could be helpful in distracting them, giving them something to do other than worry. Coworker stopped by tonight. His real job is with the County, so he's been helping out at the fire camp and evacuating people. It's nice to have an update but there's really nothing anybody can do about any of it. Winds gusting to 80 mph mean zero firefighting ability, so we hope for calmer winds and higher humidity. Personally? Doing ok, don't have to go through any of the bad zones. |

I just transferred from the base in Ventura in the summer. Got lots of friends still in the area. Now there is one down here now by Camp Pendleton a few miles from me. Going to be sleeping lightly tonight.
