the cargo said that even if you do the clearance in the states, its still gonna add up, on top of it, its possibly going to be a hassle to do it if you have never done it before.

seems like DHL might be the better option.

at this point im awaiting some feedback from Coung. if we go with DHL ill need to ask Coung to send me: $940 + 8% (to cover the 4% that paypal charges per transfer, and roughly 4% that they gobble up with the exchange). total = $1.015

that is the cost price im getting from DHL using my company account. IF Coung has a DHL account, i could get them to charge him directly as the recipient upon receiving the package. so that i dont have to pay for it on this end, and thus avoiding the loss of 8% in transfers.

let me know how we shall proceed.

Looks like it is time for the people on GB #1 (including me) to start coughing up the dough to Coung so he he can forward the funds to Wayan.

If everyone is comfortable gifting to each other, we can save on the 4% PayPal transfer fee. Otherwise it's $33 for shipping + $6 for the hugger so $39 per person (except those who already paid Wayan for the hugger). Still not too bad getting a hugger for less than $50

i already paid wayan for the hugger. so the $33 is just for shipping from wayan to you in the USA. we'll still have to paypal you again for shipping to our door when you receive them correct?

Thats correct. I don't know the size of the huggers yet, but hopefully they fit a flat rate shipping box. I can give everyone options once I receive them. A good chunk of the list are socal'ers who can pick them up outright.

Just went back and read some of the older posts and it looks like EddieNewYork and Zakenda are also out. 00NissanNinja, I know Eddie said you can have his, but I only think it's fair to move down the second group buy list since they showed interest ahead of time.
