08+ exhaust on a 07?

i have an 07 250 have had it since 07 and just recently started thinking about modding. since i finally finished my civic. does neone know if the 2 to 1 exhaust off the 08+ will bolt up/work on an 07. ive tried to google this and everything else and cant figure it out. looked like it might bolt to engine but if so is it plumbed right to fit the 07 frame and fairings. thanks for the help.

I have tried bolting up headpipe from plasmatoast's '08 and the fixed position of the flanges do not match up with the bolts on the pregen.

Thanks Truong for the detailed aanswer. Sounds like you would need someone with welding skills to unweld the flange and reweld in the correct position.

I don't think reworking an exhaust that wasn't built for the pregen would be pointless, and would probably hurt the performance of the bike.
