Ordering Valve Stems
I have never really gotten an answer on this one....
I found the following replacement valve stem: http://www.bikebandit.com/k-l-rubber-valve-stem-6-pack Is this what we need, or am I missing something obvious? |

 I thought that the rubber stems were pretty much universal, and these look as such, but like you I'm not 100% sure.

Those valve stems will fit. Pretty much every Japanese bike manufactured since the 1980's has had the same sized stem.
I prefer metal stems to rubber. And for convenience angled stems are great. When you check air pressure as often as I do you want it as easy as possible. They are a lot more expensive so the choice is yours. http://kurveygirl.com/shop/index.php?cPath=27

When I had my last front tire put on I asked the guy to swap to an angled valve stem. He only wanted $6 per. Unfortunately he couldn't get it to seal properly, said the stem was too small for the hole in the wheel
 ...Really wish I had angled valve stems.

hmm I did not know about angled valve stems. Seems like something I would want.

The angled valve stems are great, especially on bigger bikes with larger brakes rotors or luggage. Most of the angled valve stems come in two sizes, one for "European" bikes and one for "japanese" bikes. KurveyGirl is good to deal with and cheaper than some places (but also more expensive than others). $29 for a pair of angled valve stems.
