I totally understand. People can't seem to understand why people like Brad Pitt etc bore me to death. Handsome according to the whole world except me. George Clooney? blahh...Matt Damon, blahh blah...BORING.

I'm more the King Leonidas type. Or Sully from Godsmacked. Russel Crowe, Gladiator...Imperfect with a bit of meat on the bones, even chubby is better than Hollywood stick-people. Character. Not the famous people "Perfect-in-a-box", they all bought the same nose, the same teeth, the same boobs (or abs)...Boring.

Sooo, nickjpass, who IS your type?

Funny how a girl understands (you're a girl right? ).

I don't know. I don't follow celebs' lives, so I don't know their names, and I do have a type, for example, the girl I went on a date with last week

Hey! You shoulda pm'd me about that! Congrats! Hope it went well.

Also: you get reputation points from me for not knowing celeb names! The people who are widely considered "celebs" are usually not people I believe need to be celebrated. Hopefully your lack of knowledge on main-stream celebs is an indicator that you spend your time on better things... like learning about motorcycles

There's got to be other folks out there that have names for their bikes. What are the names and details??

I'm always interested in hearing from fellow members, new and old, whether they have a pet name for their ride.

My other bikes:

Grace - She's awkward. Slips and falls a lot, sometimes when there's no one near her.

Slick - Got her for a real sweet deal, a slick deal even! And her name pairs with the other nicely, Grace Slick!

Belle - She's blue, so Blue Belle sounded perfect. Just "Belle" for short.

Well, I got a different bike, so I guess it's time to name her already. Since it's not in show condition, but it still spends most of it's time in the garage, I think I'll name her "Garage peasant."

Mines a girl too! My trusty sidekick in crime I think Mountain Due miss_syn considers her bike to be a "he": apparently that's because she found "his" junk underneath, so it couldn't possibly be a girl

The morning after I bought my bike I woke up and knew her name would be Juliet. This worried me a little bit because as the story goes, things don't end so well for the young couple. But once you name something it can't be changed.

Blacky sounds like a horse's name. I'd say it'd work for a motorcycle too.

If you're familiar with the Estonian band (kudos if you are), it'd be a nice reference/tribute there too.

Link to original page on YouTube.

And Dark Night... Do I really have to go there?

(Nobody is going to hear the spelling difference when you say it)

Alright I will go with the Dark Night as a name and Blacky as a nickname!!

If you look at Batman's( The Dark Knight) body armor and the Ninja's 250 body they have the same spirit...

I saw Kjohnson had named his Yoshi..i missed out, thats an epic name.
I was gonna say, when mine comes in, I was going to name it Hulk..but seeing as it's only a quarter liter, and it hasn't hulked out yet (somehow turned into a 600 or 1000cc LOL), I'll just name it Mr. Green.

not to be confused with "sketchy" , the more negative feeling.. haha

I'm Canadian. Massively different culture, not better or worse but we share more with the British language/customs (Commonwealth Country) than we do with our friends to the south.

BUT...squirrely is what your bike would feel like in a speed wobble. Just on the happy side of control. Things get squirrely just before you come to a stop and go, "Wow, that was exciting."
Slide the back end around when you haven't planned to? Then you do it again a few times just because it was fun? That's gettin' squirrely.

I don't think it's a common term here, I think it's from an american film originally.

Some Canadians may differ on this topic but Vive la difference!

How true! I've felt that Oh F**k feeling too and yep, I'll take squirrely anytime over that.
