Bought new triple with ignition but steering lock is on my bike
Ok so I lost my key and its hard to get blanks and take my bike to a locksmith cause I live in a small town. I got a new lock set with the ignition still in the triple but my steering is locked on my bike so I don't know how to disengage that to take the old triple off and slide the new one on. Help me dear god!!

Remove the top clamp. If you have a new one with switch that's all you need to do

The steering lock was stopping the triple clamp from lifting off because you have to turn it to 1 o'clock to get past the guarding. I fixed it now for anyone who reads this in the future. As I bought the new lock with the ignition stint in the new triple clamp I broke the back out that was holding the ignition cylinder then drilled out the sides of the mounts holding the cylinder in which left me with what looks like a bolt head but if you turn that you can now start your bike. Now I can remove the old broken triple clamp and put my new one in. Thanks for the help guys. I wanted to explain how I fixed it cause most people only get the help then not say how they fixed it.

That's funny, because I removed mine with no issue whatsoever when I brought the bike home and put the new lock set on.
Edit: just saw this as well, pretty sure I gave him that same advice
