Watched some Rally riders along Highway 50 today, wow, there is no mistaking those riders are in it for the long haul. Too bad yesterday's report didn't have an update on points position.

I think the reason for the older bikes is because once these guys get a bike dialed in they don't like to change. Plus they are familiar with working on them.

Alex told me about the "Smurf Card". He said there was some guy there who was very spiritual (??). The Iron Butt ride report gave some details about how the guy is "different". Anyway, before the rally started, he gave Alex a card and told him the card would help him with his Karma and get him through troubled spots. Alex put the card in his wallet... and I guess it did help!

I think its pretty awesome he's still in it seeing how so many have already quit. I am sure if he does another one the lessons learned in this rally will help out.

When he wrecked the first BMW he had set up for the rally I told him he should just ride his 300 for the rally. Maybe I was right.

Little Ninjas can do very well. Leon finished 12th in 2005. Bike has a 10.5 gallon tank make by enlarging the stock tank

I'm back to the hotel safe and sound. Hit my goal for this third leg, and scored enough points to be considered a finisher for the event (which gets you a 3-digit IBA #). I'm tired. More details to come over the next few days...
