Finally!

It's official, an official member. I am now a proud owner of a 2008 Blue Kawasaki Ninja 250! Got it on Friday and was hoping to ride the next day but DMV dosen't do tags and titles on weekends, thanks a lot DMV. So all I could do was hop on the bike and... pretend. But come Monday I will be able to ride, stunt, weave through traffic, cut people off..... yeah right, I'm crazy not stupid.

I am a short guy though so I can only tiptoe while riding. So if anyone has any suggestions or concerns or anything to help me, make my life easier while riding it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

congrats and enjoy. a simple tiptoe remedy came to my attention yesterday. I was hanging with some friends at a bike shop while they were doing state inspections. a young lady on a 250 came in and was bouncing her feet from left to right to stay up when stopped. one of my friends mentioned if she wore boots instead of running shoes she might pick up a little bit of height (not to mention safety).

Congrats!!!!

As for the height issue, you could lower the bike or shave the seat.

I too got my ride today!!! I rode it to Chile's and ate dinner. unfortunately my helmet was stolen at Chiles (left it in the booth when my wife and went to walmart) so now I cant ride it and i have to wait for my backordered helmet and i am out 80 bucks) it totally sucks to ride then not be able to. Ohh well I hope kharma bits that person in the butt. Grats on your purchase!!! You will love it

Congrats!!

Few things... This is Maryland they don't have a DMV they have MVA (don't ask me I just know I got my head bit off by calling it DMV too ) It's Maryland, much like California it is a land unto itself...

Did you buy it from a dealership or did you do a private sale? I am guessing private sale since the visit to MVA. Did you get it from a forum member? There was someone selling one in the DC area

congratulations! As for the height issue, I have a DIY in the wiki about lowering with the Roaring Toyz kits - easy to do and gave me a lot more confidence to be able to flat-foot. You can always remove the kit later if you feel comfortable with the height... also, if you do lower make sure to do the front at least as much as the rear

+10000. I have boots that give me an inch in height and that's all it takes for me to flat foot perfectly. Being able to touch with both feet makes ME feel a lot better. Some people are just fine with only one foot though.

Congrats on the bike and awesome color choice!
