Oh, I saw this a couple days ago. I think his kickstand was the culprit. Not 100% sure though.

Definitely looks like something (not rubber) scraped the ground, as you can tell by the white lines being make.

I believe if the kickstand is down, the motorcycle wouldn't run. If the safety malfunctioned, then yes, it's plausible. If it did, then I'm wrong

Well it wouldn't have been open if he was leaning down that far >>;

It's possible that he got his foot hooked on there and pushed it out a bit without triggering the safety switch which caused it to scrape and/or catch.

Then again, I'm not expert :x

It was a spaceship that came down from planet 23X and shrunk so that he could make it look like it was his kickstand..

It seems like the kickstand could be a worthy culprit. Like you said, there was a white line from metal scratching the pavement.

I've read in a few different places that you should get rid of the kickstand and grind down the place where you mount it if you plan on going to the track. It allows for more available lean angle on the left side.

Seems like you also need to get aftermarket rearsets (or at least pegs) to even get to the very outside of 130 rear tires.

After watching the video and slowing it down it looks like the kickstand or something near it scraped the ground because you can see his rear tire lift off the ground as soon as the scraping begins. It sucks that he took out that dual sport rider with him.

The first thing that hits on the left is the kickstand mount, and that's the likely culprit in this case.

Yeah, I've almost ate crap with the kickstand mount. I've just learn to cope with it and try to not lean so far.

Am I the only one that noticed the Ninja rider check on the dirt bike before the hurt rider?

Looks like the guy from the ninja is looking how to shut the dual sport bike off

I am not sure, but it almost looks to me like the rear starts to come out slightly before the scrape begins.

You may be right. Unless the kickstand just didn't scrape hard enough to be vivid, but affected the cycle.

I hit my kickstand all the time, and it definitely flicks your wheel up. Scares me every time! But he does seem to be over leaning for the speed.

P.S. the motard guy should have stood up, caught air and he would have had an epic internet win. But..... he stayed sitting down and the suspension threw him. You have to adapt people, it is a dirt bike after all.

I rewatched this video and it looks like he panicked after the initial contact with the kickstand. It looks like he chops the throttle and gets back on it which could have unsettled the balance of the bike especially at his lean angle.
