Sorry for the late reply. Yeah I work 7 days a week. If you want to fight traffic with me after work (I go from Aiea to Kaimuki) and Kaimuki to Aiea in the mornings, then you're more than welcome to join. Haha. Let me know what your schedule is like.

have you configured your control panel to receive emails on replies? if not, that may be the reason.

I live in Kaimuki and I work in Aiea M-F 8-5. I usually pick up my girl and then hit the YMCA and then afterwards eat and sleep so weekdays I definitely cannot. However, Saturdays and Sundays are good. Just let me know guys. Sorry, for the late replies. Would love to meet some fellow 250 riders. I only know how to do oil changes and cleaning the chain. 714-402-6212

Howzit, Chris ... I'm a newbie rider and just picked up my first ninja two days ago (2007 250r). I've been on the Kalanianaole Hwy and Nimitiz Hwy and the bike manages itself well. In your opinion, can the bike keep up with traffic (and the steep grade) on the Like Like and Pali Hwys? How about riding on the H-1 and H-2? Let me know ... I'm going to say "Mahalo" in advance for your and anyone else's thoughts / comments!

it does just fine on the highways..up likelike i tend to stay in 5th and if it's windy..i tuckup, get streamlined.

do you perhaps need your bike raised at all? someone jus asked me for my stock links for a friend of theirs, just curious is that was you lol

congrats on the purchase, i love this bike, i miss the power of a 600 or 750, but other than that, it has more than enough power to get you in plenty of trouble and danger. we will probably do a ride here shortly..i have PRK surgery tomorrow so i will be unable to ride for a touch over a week, but feel free to get ahold of me or kenji or whatnot..i ride everyday, i have a 2010 plasma blue..i live out in Ewa.

Howzit Chris ... and "mahalos" for the information. Do you take your bike on H-1 or H-2? How does it handle on the freeways? Thanks for the group ride offer ... I'm definitely a newbie and feel a little "shame" to be riding with ... hmmm ... real riders. One of these days ...

Kauai is nice... I used to live on Oahu before moving here. Other than family, I don't miss it as it has grown a bit too much for me.

You are fortunate, though, that you have a lot of 250 riders there. Having good friends to share with is one of the best things about motorcycling. Enjoy the new bike and be sure to join in on their rides. Be safe.

rollo, the 250 handles just fine on all the roads around here. i never remember it ever struggling to get around... even when i was packing my wife. the one thing that is scary about it is that heavy winds tend to blow the 250 around quite a bit. when going around kalanianaole hwy down to sandy's it is really scary when the winds pick up.

that is one thing i like about my honda. the crosswinds may sometimes blow my head all around, but never my 550 lb bike.
