Pittsburgh anyone?

Hi everyone! I'm newer, and I tried looking through the Community thing, and didn't see a Pittsburgh group. I'm new to riding, and right now learning on a Harley 883 (not the best learning tool...) It's not mine, it's my mom's (LOLOLOL), but one of my favorite bikes ever is the Ninja (right next to the Duc Monster hehe), so between the two, I'd kinda like not dying riding the Duc haha... plus I'm poor.

tl;dr

I'm from the area, new to riding, and wanna know if any of you folks get together to just hang out. I'd love to join up as soon as I get my bike and meet some new people. (soon!)

haha I just remember a friend of mine (we were going to Erie) saying "a guy I knew got hit by a car in Mercer county.. I think in Sharpsville." and at that moment, we passed the little sign haha.

Then I proceeded to ask him how it's possible to get hit by a car in a town like that.

He answered: drunk street basketball.

hahahaha. Now thats believable! Makes sense now LOL. I like the little town, everyone knows you so its very friendly. Only bad thing is, EVERYONE KNOWS YOU hahaha.

haha I know what you mean. I was raised in a little town near Pittsburgh called Washington. Everyone knows you, everyone knows your business, but barely anyone is friendly hahaha

I'm already pretty pumped! This is exactly what I was hoping for. I'm a graphic designer, so I'll bring a desktop computer and some marketing books. Haha

I do mainly High school sports, and senior portraits. I also do weddings (going down to texas the 13th, vacation and cousin is getting married, doing their wedding also) Was going to try to get into the automotive industry but with my full time job is was a little too much on my plate.

2 hours south of you.

I'll be up that way in April for a Pirates game and of course a stop at Dibella's. Doubt I'll be on the bike though :/

I'm from pittsburgh ( South hills ). I just got my 08 ninja 250 in january, haven't road it yet but taking the msf class next week.

SORRY!!! "883". I hate Harley's with a passion, and I'm only riding her's because I don't have one yet, and her boyfriend's is way too big. (Also a Harley, but humongous). Idk what I was on when I typed that out, but good catch haha.

How about this weather guys? I travel out to Bedford every night for work, and it was a mess out there, more so than it is around this area. I just want to get the bike out and ride!

I just want the upcoming 2 weeks to be semi-ridable weather. I start MSF and I don't want to be riding in sleet or hail or something stupid lol.

I rode today! I am glad it turned out to be such a nice day. Installed my rear set adjusters, and I couldn't just put it back in the shed.

Has anybody taken the M-class license test, or at least know what they do? I am going to have to take the MSF class in the summer, but would like to get my license before then.

I'm also goin to the msf course starting this wednesday march 16 - 27. Hopefully every thing goes smooth, I will let u no how it goes but u can see videos of the course on youtube. This will be the first time I've ever rode a bike.

MSF is pretty good so far. Riding day today. I wish I had my own bike so I could ride more often though.

2nd MSF class today, Things are getting easier. Rode my ninja all day today, about 70 miles around the south hills. I like the ninja alot better than the class bike (suzuki gz250). What kind of bike did u get in class?

an 11', and I was the only one to get one. It was actually a BLAST to ride to be honest.
