congrats on the ninja too! I saw your earlier post and wondered why any one would ride from dawn to dusk on one of the coldest days of spring, then I realized you got a new bike.

Not me!

On another note, I've been out and about almost every day after work when it's not raining. If any of you are ever down in the Pittsburgh area (I live 5 blocks from Heinz Stadium), hit me up on here and we can meet up!

I go to school at CCAC Allegheny campus, so I'm always down there. Hopefully weather will be nice on weekdays so I can start riding

What about a short notice ride this Sunday? Most people are probably busy because of the holiday Monday, but it would be worth a shot if anybody else wants to.

I might be able to do Sunday. I'm traveling Saturday, but I have to see what the rest of the folks are doing. I think some fam might be coming to town to my parent's house, but I'll check and let you know for sure

Sounds good. Hopefully we can get something regular going in the summer, if the weather ever decides to get predictable.

I would definitely be interested in coming out that way. A friend and I have talked about riding out Rt. 30 or something soon, so I bet he would be in as well.

I'm a student at Pitt now actually, from about 25 miles north of Pittsburgh previously. Been here pretty much my whole life. Just picked up my 250 yesterday from a guy up in Kittaning, now I'm always down for a ride with people.

Good to see somebody new. Are you living in Oakland? I always used to bomb through the road to the top of Schenley park. One of my favorite short rides

I'll also chime in. Another Pitt student, got my 250 pre-gen this past October. Weather sucks today, though .

Definitely! Freaking rain today is driving me mad . Was going to head out for a ride last night, but it was "misting" in a very odd way. I could barely see out of my car - I didn't even want to try with my helmet .

Def will be reaching out to everyone in the area once it warms up and the salts have gone away. If things work out we should make it a reoccurring ride.

It did ice over in October once. All the nice days we've been having I seem to be busy, then when I have time nature's like "Oh hey, got your ship ready?"

So true, I'm just finishing up the winterization process. Oil changed, chain lubed, up on the stands, battery being tended, stabil + full tank + run thru carb ride. Lets see how creative things can get after that tax return

I swear, it was only ten minutes later that I walked out the door, saw the snow ("wintery mix"...ugh), and swore under my breath .

I've had the bike prepped for storage for well over a month . Oil change, full tank, Sta-Bil in it, battery tender hooked up...I've only put on a good 250 miles since then . No idea how to clean the chain and my garage isn't flat enough to put it on the rear stand, so those aren't on the list.
