Electrical Problem?

Hi guys,

Glad to be a part of this forum. I'm new to riding, but I hope over time I can acquire enough knowledge to share with everyone here.

Recently, I've had several problems occur simultaneously and not sure what the source of the problem could be.

First off, my turn signals are randomly deciding, at times, to fluctuate between working normally and blinking extremely fast. At times, they will even just 'stay-on'.

The next problem I realized I have now is that my brake lights are not activating when applying either the front brake or the back brake.

Finally, my headlight (low-beam) bulb burnt out also. I replaced it and now it is working fine.

Could anyone please offer me some advice to fixing these problems. I'm wondering if this could be an electrical problem, as all of these problems happened at the same time. So far, I've only fixed the headlight, but for the other two, I'm at a lose. I've searched around but couldn't really pinpoint a thread with a similar situation (if there is one, then please post it here).

check your fuse 4 the no brake light situation

Sorry, I forgot to address that. Everything is completely stock.

for the turn signals, as long as everything is stock, it kind of sounds like a loose ground connection. Check the ground wires in all four of your signals.

Checked all the ground connections and still no luck. I even used a spare turn signal I had to check if one of the bulbs were going out.

Edit:

The brake problem is now fixed. When I took the bike apart, I looked at both filaments of the light bulb and they were both being activated. I messed with the rear brake pedal and found that the spring was always activated. Problem solved.

As for the turn signal problem, could my turn signal relay be going bad?

the video made it look like the handlebar switch was shorting the two outside posts from rain water. just a guess though.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.

All problems solved. In the case of the turn signal problem, the signal relay went bad. I replaced it and the signals are now working perfectly fine.

Does anyone know how to check the ground wires? I need to do this because my signals are acting too. Where does the ground wire connect to the body of the bike? Please if anyone knows, let me know or message me
