KTM is offering three competition winners a summer-long loan of its new 1290 Super Duke R, and a fourth the chance to keep the 180hp naked bike.

Entrants get to choose their favourite from four different set-ups of the £13,999 model, including ‘Race’ and ‘Touring’. They then have to fill out a form on a microsite for the bike asking questions including how much power it makes (clue: it’s 180hp).

Details are sketchy but a further announcement on the competition is due at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan next month.

For the moment, an announcement on the microsite says: ‘To mark the launch of the new KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R, we are giving 4 lucky winners the opportunity to spend a summer full of fun, pure action and extreme performance with the "beast". We are also offering 4 different setups, so that all the winners can romp around their individual playgrounds even better. ONE of the 4 will have the chance to keep their KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R!
