Ninjette Member of the Month - March 2014 (Sirref)

It's that time again! As always, to be on the ballot, you need to be in the top 10 of posts for the past month. I'm excluded, as is anyone who has won in the past 12 months. The current listing is always up here: top posters, under the quicklinks menu.

The criteria to win is up to the voter. Most helpful, least helpful, least annoying, most annoying, best avatar, it's open season. Winner gets to choose a privilege that I can reasonably fulfill. Larger avatar size? Want to auto-welcome newbies? More PM space? Special phrase under username in addition to custom user title? Skies the limit, as long as it doesn't cost anything, and I can code it in 8 minutes or less. The winners get all the same privileges as a group, so you get the benefit of whatever the earlier folks (and later folks) asked for as well.

hahahahaha best avatar is considered official criteria! I agree with nevadawolf, should've stayed with le baby du helmet a bit longer.

I'm campaigning for a spoiler function within posts to hide whatever you'd like, this would be especially helpful in threads with tons of youtube videos or race threads (i.e. motogp/wsbk)

Spoiler would also be great for any accident/injury pictures or potential NSFW.

I've looked into this in the past, and haven't found a spoiler code that I liked for this version of vBulletin; they all had some issues that gave me pause. Willing to look into again in case it does become the official request, but no guarantees it could actually happen.

that's appreciated, I feel that it would be a pretty useful and well used function within the forum.

I'll be thinking of something else that would be helpful to add if it can't be done.

@Alex - Maybe could be as simple as the color BB code for the UI? i.e. Change the text color to the same background color as the skin.

The email notifications pose another challenge altogether. Nothing is ever simple is it? :\

that could work, you would have to add something to let people know to highlight the post of course.
as for the email notifications, I did not think of that. hmm, perhaps have them post a phrase like "spoiler contained in post" or something instead of the post's information if the spoiler button is hit?

I think some of these were my issues last time. There are enough caveats where it turns out to be ineffective, that if someone really wants to avoid spoilers they should avoid clicking into threads that are likely to have them.

oooh white, I wanted mine in white but the dealer didn't have it and it didn't come with abs. I like the cross on your helmet too.
I'll pitch that idea to him tomorrow, it'll definitely make him more likely to consider it. I'd be willing to drive you back down too if he goes for it.

Is yours green then? I wanted ABS too but got a killer deal, didn't want white wanted green but white will be fun to build especially since more than likely this will be my first and last white bike or any vehicle for that matter! Thank you sir

Don't worry about pitching it to him, I sold the bike yesterday but regardless would still love to meet up ride etc appreciate the offer drive back offer though!

Not to burst any bubbles but I just vote to try and create another tie or 3 way tie would be even better. The more people that win MOTM the more people that are not eligible for the following 12 month period = the better chance I have at winning.
