Cover-Comp,Chain #14041
Its raining and storming atm, so i cant pull my Nate outta the shed for PICS of what im asking about atm. So im wondering what besides the 3 bolts you remove to take off the front sprocket guard? i noticed yesterday the cover has a TON of grime i need to scrap and clean, only Easy and Optimal cleaning with this front cover taken off! I noticed the shifter linkage also passes through this front cover... ummm im unsure of specs and torques needed, or a manual that shows how this to be taken apart step by step. I dont have a 250R shop manual. Anyone have exp in taking off their front sprocket cover with some Pics and DIY instructions by chance?

i found the DIY on here. Ummm it doesnt give any info on the torque spec of that bolt that the shifter attaches too, nor the correct positioning on putting it back on. Ummm mark it with a Paint slash prior to taking it apart....to help re-line that bolt up once putting it back together, would be good enuff?

im confused, you have FT.LBS listed on some things (bold top listings)
but right under it says IN.LBS ... so which is it? or what is IN.LBS = FT.LBS? I need a IN.LBS torque wrench too now? Torque N*M | kgf*M | ft*lb ____________________ |>>>>>>>>>| 87in*lb this is listed for teh front sprocket cover thingy, what is ft lbs Equal too in IN lbs? |
