New to the forum-- 2009 Ninja 250 Blue

Hey guys,

I have a 2009 Ninja 250 with roughly 4600 miles. I bought it off a guy who laid it down not once... but twice! he replaced the red plastics with blue plastics then wrecked it again. I bought it with blue fairings, a red gas tank and red fender, dirty and grimy... it was RICED OUT lol

I've had it two weeks and I ordered a blue front fender then purchased a blue gas tank... then I striped the red tape off the wheels so it is looking GREAT!

I bought the bike with 4200 miles, changed the oil, spark plugs and lubed the chain. So far I LOVE the bike. I used to ride two cbr 600's and they were great but the insurance was insane with my driving record. The Ninja 250 is only $21 a month and I can't complain at all!

Sooooo... here are some pics and please let me know what you think about my work so far on the bike... the bike has an aftermarket exhaust it looks like a gsxr1000 exhaust in all honesty but I don't know.

Not sure, guy said it came off a wrecked gsxr... This bike is very loud and throaty sounding, def doesnt not sound like a 250, its louder than my buddys gsxr750 with yoshi exhaust

It's definitely a gsxr exhaust.
It definitely looks great all one color :P

I have a stock exhaust from my 2010 ninjette if you're in the market for one

I've thought about putting on a stock exhaust but they're so quiet, I like that this one has some sound to it, it is very loud

hey bro do u still have that red gas tank? i have a small fist sized dent in mine and was interested in a new one and if u dont want urs mind sending it my way?

I actually do have it sitting in my garage and it has a petcock with it. I wouldn't mind selling it honestly. Has a small scratch about 1 inch on it I did it when I took it off the bike by accident. I can post pictures of it if you're interested, you'll have to make me an offer on it, I paid $130 + 47.70 shipping for my blue one. So see if we can work out a deal... I'd rather sell it on here than deal with selling it on ebay.

sounds great actually but dont let my post interfere with u selling it on ebay either i dont get paid until sometime next week anyways and i'll start price checking around to see what the going prices are for used gas tanks. then i'll shoot u a PM my friend

She looks great (now)!
Even taking off the red rim tape after it was all blue made it looks 10x better.

Your exhaust is from an 06-07 GSX-R600 or 750. Good job putting it back to one color. It actually reminds me of my 636. My race plastics are midnight blue (free paint leftover from a buddy who painted a dump truck!) but I leave the stock red tank and fender on the bike for the track. I've got to get around to finding a spare tank. I already found a black front fender. Welcome aboard
