high pitch whine, even while riding

I brought this up before when the bike was sitting around doing nothing in my place, and most agreed it was just the gas tank pressure. i never did the mod to fix that bc it didnt really bother me much

but i was riding around today and i could hear it, even through my helmet and wind noise, going about 45mph. i did hear it as i came back from lunch in the parking lot, so I opened the gas tank just a bit and it stopped, so i thought it was just when idle after riding...

seems kinda weird to me that it would happen while riding.. and also, it lasts for a good while, like 5+minutes. its the first time i heard it do that, so maybe it was a fluke but still concerns me a bit.

normal? maybe i should consider the gas tank mod now?

It was probably hot out. That and if the tank was getting low there's a lot of vapors inside. And you did answer your own question a bit when you said you opened the cap and it stopped.

well, i THINK it made it stop, but that was when it was sitting still.. i didnt expect it to continue to whine while i was riding it.. felt like i just heard an explotion and there was ringing in my ear

it is super hot 95 degrees today i think, maybe a bit more with humidity. i was sweating with my jacket h alf open

so i guess it is fairly normal then... good thing i love modding so much

good to know. i figure it was the same as before, but never heard it while riding so wanted to make sure

about 1/4 was in there... according to the gauge... how true that is, well, who knows
