Just answer the door holding a bag of lye and a suppressed Sig Sauer....

I disagree with Canadian gun laws because they make it much harder for those who are legally interested in owning guns while not going after the real criminals. The ones who acquire them illegally keep doing what they're doing while legitimate owners put up with the brunt of BS gun legislation. Getting a handgun here legally is more of a hassle than its worth, but if I really wanted I could get one a lot easier off the street...
Oh, I agree. I'm currently in the process of getting my firearms license. I have zero problem with guns, or owning a gun. My mom and step-dad (who's an American) live down in Pennsylvania and he has a ton of guns. We go shooting whenever I drop by to visit (my favorite would have to be his glock .45).

I agree that our current gun laws are ridiculous and do nothing to stop the illegal guns (the ones actually used to shoot people) and only serve to punish the legitimate gun owners. Here's hoping the current government makes good on their promise.

You know, just to ensure all parties mind their manners and p's and q's.
I had one of those about 15 years ago. I lived in a 2nd floor apartment, with a balcony on the side of the building 90 degrees to the stairs, so I could lean out and look around the corner to see who's at the door. One morning at 2 a.m. I'm up late cause of my insomnia and someone knocks on the door. I go out on the patio and lean around the corner. One guy braced on the railing opposite the door, ready to kick it in, the second guy hugging the wall on the door side 2 steps down, ready to rush in once the door is kicked.

I'd like to think they **** their pants when I say "I've got 45 reasons for you to walk away now!" My gun was in my hand, casually pointed in their direction. The looks on their faces was flat out awesome.

Depending on your area (this is the US), answering the door holding a gun that is visible could very well catch you a "brandishing" charge, so be cautious.
