Ninja 300 - GSXR shock swap - Dogbones?

Hi, all. First post here. Just acquired a 2014 Ninja 300 and am in the process of prepping it for the track. I read about the GSXR rear shock swap and have decided to begin the procedure. I found the shock on Ebay for $35. But it looks like the dogbones aren't available from those listed in the old DIY threads anymore. Do any of you know where I can get 1.25" to 1.5" dogbones for the Ninja 300? All help is appreciated. Thanks!

This info might be helpful to you:

Step by step GSX-R Shock Install

You could make your own dogbone links if you are handy and know the length you need.

I guess they've been disabled because they point to another forum. A VERY large Ninja300 specific forum.

If you google "Step by step GSX-R Shock Install" it is the very first link. You can reconstruct the links after that.

Thanks for the links and info, Sparkcycle. That forum post was extremely detailed.

I have found plenty of lowering links. But the problem is I'm trying to raise the bike up. I found 1" links from a company in GB but they are $50-75. I'd like 1.25" minimum as I'm very tall. I wouldn't mind paying for some if they were $20-25. From what I've found, the DIY dogbones look pretty easy and, for the money, I'll probably end up doing that.

Not sure If it will work on the 300 (not sure why it wouldn't either) but I used dog bones from a ninja 500. Worked like a charm, height was perfect and the price was good too.

If you go that route you will need to shim the ninja 500 dog bones with some washers/nuts on each side so they will clear the base of the gsxr 600 shock.

FYI, bikefarmmv has laser cut raising links called a "jack up kit" on their site. Couple different heights to choose from too.
Got the 1" up for my winter test and they are perfect -looks like plain 1/4" stainless or something. Pretty cheap too.

Get the GSXR-1000 shock. It's tiny bit longer than stock and will raise rear of bike about 0.5". Then you can raise it even more with preload adjustment. No need to change dog bones.
