WOW!!! thanks for posting this. I think this was something quiet a few people on here are going to appreciate, coz there was some confusion about how a race spec 250 would fare against the stock 300... Well, now we know

Some are reposts, but no reason not to have a separate Dyno thread for these babies.

The slipper wasn't the goal (IMO). They wanted to keep the clutch pull light, even with the larger engine. The new clutch design, which they buy outright from FCC, has as its main design features a much lighter pull, which also is related to its slipper functionality.

I feel so embarassed for ever buying a 250. I should have waited for the 300.

One of the first things I tried. Went down to 2nd from 5th while still moving at a reasonable speed, and dumped the clutch. Very minor lockup for just a moment, but the slipper then worked as advertised and broke free enough to keep the engine from revving much at all. So it works.
But - I'm not a fan of the clutch in general. The feel is somewhat vague and soft, so when clutching/declutching very quickly, it seems like there is a slight delay before it's fully engaged and driving in the next gear. The clutch feel is a little less direct than how it feels in the 08-12's. It's not a huge concern, but it's not a step forward, either.
