ABS Ninja 300 availability?

How long until the ABS model of the EX300 is available? I find it strange that Kawasaki would toot this horn so much and not have it available on day 1, especially when they know that there is pent up demand and they can sell ABS to people who may not have even wanted to pay more for it.

The Ninja 300 is nice and all, but I have two EX250s (three if you count the parts bike) and I'm not about to add another ninjette unless it is as different as it can be.

Not that I'm interested in buying the Ninja 300 ABS on day one (I haven't finished working on my second 250 yet), but the sooner it is available, the sooner demand will slow and future negotiation will be possible.

I'm wondering the same. They delayed the release of the ZX-10R ABS, and have done the same with the new ZX-14R ABS (which is strangely attractive to me).

Yup, the ABS one is 584 lbs, roughly 100 - 115 pounds heavier than most of the literbikes (ready to ride, fully-fueled). But it has the most powerful motor in the world, making it forget all about that weight when accelerating, and it has a great brake setup, helping it do the same. I used to own a ZX-12R, and enjoyed it quite a bit. The 14R has taken a few years to iron out some issues (weird fueling, wonky handling). But this third generation is now back on my list, especially with ABS and traction control. I don't do enough trackdays anymore to justify the 10R over the 14R, and could honestly enjoy myself quite a bit yanking the 14 around a racetrack if I do go every once in awhile.

Why so you can not ride it for 9 months every year?

Such an abusive owner.

Not until January in Canada, apparently.

Dealer wouldn't confirm the date, but said they won't be in for a while.

Thanks for letting us know, and welcome to the forums!

It's nice to see that the ABS version is finally available here. Mind telling us how much the OTD price was?

Hi everybody,
I will try to get some pictures tomorrow when I take it for its first ride (I trailered it home). It is the Special Edition Lime Green Ebony as its the only color available with ABS in the US. I paid MSRP but the dealer didn't charge me all the usual fees, I also got a 3yr warranty so I paid 6700 OTD.

Before I take heat for the OTD price I wanted it and I paid for it, I also looked at the price for the warranty and figured it was a good deal for a little added insurance on a new model.

I went to a dealership here in Maryland 2 days ago and they had only one 300 in stock and it was in white. However the sales guy told me for a $500 deposit he can order the 300 ABS and it will be there within a few days.
