I need this bike... I find mine a bit sluggish when running in the 600 degree range

Are those the oem "gummy" IRC tires?

They must be scammers or they are going to be in deep doo-doo.... No way they can get an EPA on that exhaust, and these are not being sold as "not for road use" vehicles.

I get the impression that this is some kid working in his garage trying to pretend he is something special. No way in hell I would buy something like this without paying a visit and riding one, and notice there is no address listed.

And all for $9000 including shipping.

Looks like one of the sunny parts of the world, somebody go take a test ride!

Personally I think I would rather have the new FI GT250R from Hyosong (sp?) motors.

You may actually get that if you run open headers and jet the carbs. Let's not forget that the 09 comes with catalysts in the exhaust that they have now removed. It is totally illegal to sell this as new for on road use. (which is what they claim).

I'm not talking about the HP and torque #'s beeing unatainable. They should cross at 5252 RPM when correctly dyno'ed. They must not have been in the correct gear for 1:1 gearbox ratio.

Wow he wants more than tim did for his actual custom bike. I see nothing of value increase on that bike really. Ceramic coated pistons and a nifty crank case plug? Someone on here should send them a message and find out some more info on the miraculous machine.

Even if it was legit...for $9k you could have a 250 putting a whopping ( ) 31hp....or any 600 putting out ~130? Wow, what a decision!

EDIT: gotta love that very professional MS Paint "TNT" logo! ahahaha

For that extra $4000 you should be getting up around 35 horses for the $250.

Can't you get nearly there with just an Area P and good jetting?

to me it looks just like they took off the original exhaust, chopped off a piece of the end, and put on various differnet bits on the tips, might be 1/2 road legal, with half the catalysts removed :P

the fun of having a modded 2 fiddy is doing it yourself imo... buying it already done, and finding out that half the crap is bs, and it cost 4x more... well that's just lame.

this is probably targeted at rich parents/grandparents/gf~bs's, etc. etc that cant think of something creative to give someone, so they would just buy something like this, and tell everyone what a suuuper dystroyer bike they got for a Christmas present!

lol....

I saw a second hand aprillia 250 the other day for about US$ 6.500.

that baby has about 60 Hp. but besides a few seconds of "oh i want" i decided that i didnt need the headache of importing spare parts for a bike that isnt sold here, and the hassle that ive had with my 2 stroke ninja.

besides, i had trouble keeping my speed in check with a 150 2stroker, let alone a 250 with double the power, lol

No they should always cross at 5252 RPM. Also Torque will be twice the HP value at 2626 and half the HP at 10504.

Because the mathematical definition of Horsepower as it partains to torque is:
Horsepower = (Torque X RPM) / 5252

Therefore Horsepower must ALWAYS equal torque at 5252RPM, universally, regardless of what engine is being dynoed.

If it doesn't, you either have different scales for torque and hp, or you have a false chart.

For those wanting a more in-depth explanation, here is a reasonably good one:

They sell Aprillia bikes here. The RS125 is an import that isn't street legal, but that's because it's a 2-stroke (EPA/exhaust issues). The bigger ones are certainly available at dealers. The RS50 probably isn't but it's more of a motorcycle-shaped scooter anyway (undertail exhaust but a wimpier swingarm).

You can change the scale on the side of the graph and suddenly the traces no longer cross. The dyno could also be way out of calibration or they could have run it in a different gear to make the results look favorable or it could simply be a scam like we think it is. Anyone know someone at the EPA since we all know there is no way that exhaust meets noise limits and probably doesn't meet the smog limits on that model either.

Torque is in Newton-meters on that dyno instead of ft-lbs. Basically, Power = Torque*Engine Speed, and the magic 5200 number is a unit conversion. Here, since it's different units for torque, effectively the torque scale is different. (Sorry, if the was indicating sarcasm or a joke I didn't pick up on it at first.)

Yup but if you move the whole thing back to proper number in ft lbs. then its right at 5200.
