New member new bike.

Hi, just got my Ninette a few months ago. Love this forum! Very informative. Have been riding and club racing from a young age (born in 1961, do the math) first bike was a arctic cat 50 with a Sachs two stroke. Club raced a 85 FZ 750 in the 80's at Brainard international raceway. My last bike was a KLR 650. Traded it in for my little ninja after a few off's in the desert here. Wanted another street bike for mainly commuting. Love it! Installed a Kawasaki rear seat bag, RDMOTO sliders (in case I tip it over) and plan on more mods soon (as wife allows) Will be posting mods and trying to help out if I can.

Well there is a Giant statue of Paul Bunyon and Babe the Blue Ox (or at least there used to be)

I spent several summers near there growing up.

And Welcome Tim, Nice bike. I'm just a couple years younger than you are and was actually thinking of doing the opposite and selling one of my Ninjettes to finance a KLR-650. (but I will still keep some Ninjettes)

Yep. I remember those statues. I grew up in MN, and my grandparents lived up on the Iron Range. Haven't been through there in quite some time, and I really hope the statues are still there.

I may have to look on the 'net and see.

My dad is from Duluth and my mom is from Virginia, MN. I spent a lot of time up in that area visiting my grandparents when I was growing up. We lived in the suburbs of Minneapolis.

My mom's from outside of Virginia! We did a lot of shopping there as a kid- Thunderbird Mall!

I was in the southern suburbs. Richfield and Bloomington.
