Jim in NC

I bought an '05 EX250R last summer so my newly licensed daughter would have something to ride, and find that when she's not visiting, I often choose it over bigger, more power motorcycles I have. Now I'm thinking of getting another one just for the track.

We had decided to buy one that had cosmetic problems and turn it into a "standard". Here's my daughter riding it on the Dragon this spring:

Thanks for all the welcomes. Addictive, yes. The first time I rode mine after bringing it home and getting it legal, I was almost dumbfounded at what a great overall motorcycle it is. I've been riding for 40 years, and have often heard what a great beginner bike "X" is, but when I hear that about a Ninja 250 it seems like an injustice. It's a great beginner bike, and a great bike for experienced riders too. One of the guys on the Moto Guzzi board just rode over 700 miles on his Ninja 250 in one day.

Anyway, you guys know all this already.

Welcome. I have done two SaddleSores on my Gen 2 (1,000 miles under 24 hours). I will be doing more.

Impressive, Gregg. I know a few guys who are into the Iron Butt rides. I occasionally ride a Century on my bicycle, and that's enough torture for me. But a Ninja 250 is well suited for a SaddleSore 1,000, especially with its range on a tank of gas. About where in VA are you? I'm not far from the border, off route 85.
