Evap system relocation?
I'm almost done tuning and servicing my new (2007) 250 so that I can begin my project. I have a California model which comes with the evap system. I've read a good post on the removal/bypass of the system but I'm not convinced I want to go that route as my bike is stored in the garage where my gas water heater and furnace are located. Rather than vent the tank externally I'd like to keep and relocate the evap system between the tank & carbs.
My question is, can the canister and separator be mounted sideways? As I understand, the system it strictly vents vapors so it shouldn't rely on gravity, right?
