am i doing this wrong ? newbie Q
OK so i want to take my handlebar weights off and started to turn left you know lefty losey right thighy and started chipping the bolt that's were i stopped so is it the other way? or am i just weak? well txs

They put loctite on them from the factory; you will probably need to apply heat to loosen them enough to unscrew. Jw, why are you removing them?

they are a pain to get off, usually takes heat or a drill ..loL!

I attempted to get mine off before I had gotten my clipons and had 3 different people from where I work try to undo them but no luck. After having my clipons installed they had taken the bar ends off from the stock bars and noticed the red (permanent) loctite that is lathered on the screws. I should have asked them what they had done to remove them

so when they come back from paint should i apply some loctite on the bolt?

Wouldn't be a bad idea, since there's a lot of vibration going through the handle bars constantly, it's likely that they would eventually rattle loose if they aren't secured by loctite or really tightening the screws.

it requires heat and an impact driver to get them off without destroying the bolts

Or a #3 JIS screw driver, a towel, and adjustable pliers.
