unfortunately, the most recent thing I did with my EX250 was sell it.

I did, however, upgrade to a 2005 Yamaha FZ6.

Replaced right handlebar, zip tie mod, throttle cables and clutch cable lubed, reinstalled my vista cruise control, replaced grips and spent about 4 hours trying to get my cut off switch housing back on.

Verily, my butthurt was mighty.

At least that led to me shaking the compartment with anger then hearing a satisfying "click" that brought everything together.

Ordered an Area P system with 12" stainless muffler.

Will finish dialing in jetting once new exhaust arrives and installed.

Went on a ride. I've put on 1300 miles in 2 weeks. I do not plan on stopping! Gonna find somewhere with a great view and far away to watch some 4th of July fireworks today!

I'm not done with my Ninjettes today, but I ordered two pregen smoke integrated blinker kits, a 104-link green chain, green/black ProGrip 725 Evo grips (closed-ended but I'm cutting it), and some blue swingarm spools. All that was under $50 + $5.99 shipping at D2Moto (used a coupon code). Woot, woot?

Still need to get a smaller sprocket from a member here so I can fit that chain.

I swear nothing goes easy when I work on my bike.Got some different swingarm spools and rearsets in the mail yesterday. Put the spools on first and they are to big around for the Harbor Freight stand that I have. Next was the rearsets, the brake side went on with no problems. The other side gave me fits, first the Bryson hugger bracket for the front mount was in the way. After fixing that, now the gear shifter hits the top of the kickstand assembly when you down shift, the rearsets are set for the first lowest holes.the lever has 3 adjustment positions but the top position makes the lever to high for up shifting. Finally gave up and will mess with it tomarrow.

somewhat related question: Why doesn't the new gen ninja 250 not have a center stand? It's just so useful for so many different things.

Replaced the petcock and front turn signal bracket since the person who had her before me apparently sucked at riding and crashed it a few times. She looks brand new now though!

I ordered my fender eliminator, lighted mounting bolts, Puig windscreen and set up for a full morning of the next maintenance and all work once the parts come in with my Bike Whisperer. My bike's gonna be so happy!

It's not really a sportbike thing. Older sportbikes have them because they were still just standards with fairings thrown on top.

Anyway, there is a bike in the lot at my brother's apartment complex which says it's an R1 but has dirty bars (tubular, single piece for L & R) and a center stand. It all looks stock too. Less fairings than a full sport R1. I can't find any mention of it on the Wikipedia page.

I see. My friend just bought a 93 GSX-750 and it had a center stand as well. Pretty useless because the previous owner installed a yoshi exhaust but I guess it's just a "reskinned" standard as well.

----

Moved my bike in, a storms brewin'.

I'll be installing a new passenger peg tomorrow. Going to repaint the brackets black since the previous owner had painted one of them previously and it's worn out since then.

I do believe so. Despite being closer to being a standard, it's about the sportiest I've ever seen with a centerstand.

woof! It's been quite the day and night...
Installed my Woodcraft clip-ons with Driven bars (thanks to @ator), everything went smoothly until I had to put the right handlebar controlS on...jeez! what a PITA they were! My bike's still stripped (Koso gauge to be put on), but hopefully, I won't have any clearance issues.

Also put my Galfer SS brake line (had to go RED of course!) and bled my brakes for the very first time. (thanks to the small "brake bleeder" from Autozone, it went well).

Lastly, I went to Walmart and bought the Paul Jr. motorcycle cover, and boy is that thing well designed! It's money well spent and you can tell that from the pic below...my cheap bike cover I had gotten from ebay, didn't last 2 months without me having to put gorilla tape to keep it from completely breaking down.

it looks like you forgot to install a new clip-on throttle oil passage gasket when you installed your throttle on the new bar. better get some new exhaust bearings

@alex.s, I'm going to take your signature to heart and chose to not trust you on that previous post lol.
I do need to push my throttle grip in though, took off the grip and the grey plastic underneath separately, should have done 'em as one. ehh, one more thing to do...

So I was in the fast lane on 95 doing like 70 and I come up to this moron in a mercury mariner who's doing like 60. So I sit there for a min and wait for him to possibly get over and he doesn't move. So I pull over to a right lane, give him the look behind my tinted face mask anyways and attempt to pass him and as soon as I get back up to speed I look left and notice he gunned it to try and not allow me to pass. Well I'm on my ninjette so I get in front of him and notice he's right on my ass maybe a foot away from my back tire. So we're doing about 121 for about 2 or 3 miles (I didn't know they don't govern vehicles anymore???) and he slows down and pulls over to get his exit... Well it's the same exit I'm taking so I pull ahead and get infront of him on the exit. I slow down a bit when I get off of my exit and flip him the bird, Meg behind me is fuming cause she saw the Ahole do the whole thing and she starts flipping him off as well. Before he pulled away I flipped up my visor gave him a smile and a cute lil waive then pulled down my exit..... THIS AHOLE TRIED TO KILL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't really scared but I was pissed this moron 1. Thought he could be faster then me and 2. doesn't understand how fragile and vulnerable we really are on our bikes..... Any thoughts on this?
