bar end mirrors
has any one used bar end mirrors like these http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Moto...ar+end+mirrors do they get blurry at higher speeds? i have some on my bike now that just clamp around the bar ends but tends to get blurry at certain rpms.

I've used them on two bikes, a '78 Suzuki GS550 (in-line four) and an '09 ER-6n (650 parallel twin). They don't blur on either bike, and they give a nice field of view, even into the space right behind you. On the 650, I bolted them to the ends of the bar-end weights, using a longer-than-stock bolt. This should also work on the Ninja 250, if you can get the stock bar end bolts out.
The 550 had no weights, so I had to use hardware store expansion bolts, because the bar inserts that come with the mirrors don't work well. The drawbacks are: 1) they don't fold, so they are vulnerable when parking or if you drop the bike, and they make your bike about 6" wider; and 2) that you have to tip your head down to see them if you wear a full-face helmet. In spite of that, I like them a lot, especially at the price. |
