2009 kawasaki 250r about to buy suggestions?

Hi every1 im new to this forum. I am looking to buy a 250r. i found one on craigslist. take a look at the link and please let me know if its worth buying at $3,800.

Spoke to seller...he said he does not have the title. its coming in the mail from the dmv. any thoughts on that?

He lied in the ad so that obviously needs to be pointed out, but I still think 3,800 is high. I paid 3,000 for mine with Yoshi exhaust, fender elim, and all over/under body lighting. It was an '09 SE with 2,100 miles, mint.

Granted his has more doodads with the integrated tail and HIDs but I still can't see $800 more than I paid for mine. If you are patient you will find better deals in the "off-season." If not, I would try to haggle with him and deal ONLY when he can present a title in hand.

Thanks for pointing that out! I just re-read it. He clearly states "Clean title in hand".

I ran the vin number on the nicb website. says it has not been reported stolen..

Good move on the VIN, but I still would not deal unless he can present the physical title AT the point of sale. It looks like a great, clean bike, I just think the price a little high. I may be off on that as I have never looked into the cost of an integrated tail and HIDs, I'm sure others will chime in to that regard.

Also, you may want to get this moved to General (or somewhere else) as it isn't pre-gen tech stuff. I'm sure @Alex will move it if he sees it here anyway.
