general shim under bucket question

hi I'm not ready yet but I was wondering with the shim under bucket, after all is said and done with the measurements
Would the new shim be placed on top of the valve keeper that center indentation?
I remember doing a valve clearance jobs for my 96 ZX 6 and I ran into a little bit of trouble placing the shim under the bucket instead of on top of the valve keeper and then placing the bucket over the Shim and the valve keeper, I remember correctly placing the shim on the center of the bucket and then flipping it over it has a tendency to slide off center
Thanks.

The old shims will normally stick the the underside of the bucket but the new ones will rest nicely in a little pocket on top of the valve assembly.

you place the shim on top of the keepers and the bucket goes over the top.

ok

I will give a listen, I think it did sound a little bit like that up top, I really like the bike she is a little bruised and banged up but I don't mind I had to do brakes the brake fluid lines the coolant oil and filter, handle bar, clutch lever
the right fork seal is leaking so I will do both work
with heavier oil and new seals, & tires
just basic maintenance,
the bike runs great starts right up rides well,
I used to have the old 250 and the ninja 500 which I traded for this newer 250, I had both of the other bikes down at njmp,
by spring time I will have it all together for the track down there, it's always a time and money thing so the things that I can do myself I will, thanks guys you have been a big help,
