brake lever causing brake light to be on constantly

so i bought a pair of levers from ebay and the clutch fit perfectly. the brake lever seems pretty loose but i noticed today that the brake light is on all the time. does anyone here know what it could be? any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

I assume that its the front brake causing it, its the only change that occured right. Make sure that the electrical switch underneath the lever area is clicking properly. You might have to take it off and clean it all up to ensure smooth operation. You can hear it click when its engaged if you listen to the lever area

Find where the brake like switch plunger is contacting the lever. That area is too close to the switch, or there is too much material there so it's pushing on the plunger and lighting the light.

You will need to remove some material in that area or modify the switch in some way to reduce the pressure on the plunger.

Without looking at it closely that's just a guess, but what i would expect to be the problem when changing to an aftermarket lever.

The same thing happened to me with an after market set. I was originally sent the wrong part. The seller sent another, different lever, and that solved the issue.
