New to Ninjas!

Hello all!

I just picked up an '09 Ninja 250 with 11k miles yesterday

While I'm not new to motorcycles (I've owned 5 over the past 10 years,) I am new to Ninjas. I picked up this little gem as a city commuter, and couldn't be more thrilled with it!

She does need some servicing, So I'd like to ask your opinions on some specific Items I'll be looking for. (Haven't had time to use that search bar yet ;-)

I need new Front & Rear sprockets, and a new chain, where should I pick these up from, and what brand?

Brake pads, front and rear... Not sure what the service limit is, but I've got < 2mm of pad left (rotors are fine) Any brand preferences?

I've looked up the 12k service and feel that it may be best to go ahead and knock most, if not all, of that stuff out... so if you have suggestions on where to pick up such items, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
-Nick

Welcome!

Yep the wiki and diy threads in the tech section. Basically, JT sprockets, DID or name brand chain and EBC or other quality brakes will get the job done.

Good luck with the service and hope you enjoy the bike.
