Sounds exactly the same as the carbon I had. I read that all of their exhausts sound the same though because of the internals. The external styling is the only thing that differs supposedly.

Danmoto Exhaust Help!!!!
I just got this exhaust
http://www.dan-moto.com/DM_INT/zx-25...oduct-438.html and there are 2 things I'm concerned about. 1) There's a small gap between the connector of the exhaust and the pipe (where the stock exhaust went over the whole thing) [B]2) MOST IMPORTANT The screw that goes into the mounting bracket doesn't fit through the hole

Should the exhaust fit on firmly without the bracket?

idk exactly what you mean by number 1, but there shouldn't be any leaks in your exhaust system. Buy some high temp RTV gasket maker and put a little in between each element of your exhaust when you install. That should seal the can to the headers.

For the mounting bracket, you gotta drill the hole out a bit. I didn't have a drill at the time so I had to use a filer. Mannn did that take forever |

Yup... had to drill the connector so it would fit stock bolts.

I've had this exhaust for about 5000 miles now (and about a year) and still like it! I have yet to shim myself, but haven't had any problems... I keep meaning to, but just haven't gotten around to it... LOL!

Why i love my danmoto . . . .
After more than 2 months since installing a DanMOto slip on, I realize that I really made the right choice,,,, a month ago,,a co-rider bought himself a branded slip on exhaust and mounted it on his ninjette,,,only to be disappointed when we put our bikes side by side, comparing the sound,,,we also changed bikes, and ,,,afterwards,,he could only scratch his head,,,,

Cool story. Congrats on having the loudest, cheapest quality exhaust can that will do nothing but piss off your neighbors and other traffic.
Loud can =/= good sounding can. DanMoto's just fart at high rpm's, I've heard one in person. |

I have a Danmoto Titanium GP can on my 250. It is no louder than my GSXR's full yoshi exhaust and I actually prefer the sound of the 250.

I felt like Danmoto pipers were hit/miss. Some of the models seemed really well put together and sounded nice while others were coffee cans with a couple springs. Sounds like you got a good one.
Glad you like the sound of your exhaust. Personally, I feel like removing the airbox makes the 250 sound amazing at higher RPM. I was shocked at the difference it made!

Danmoto Exhaust
I'm looking to get a slip-on exhaust for my Ninja and I've come across the Danmoto GP Carbon exhaust. I've searched the internet and watched countless youtube videos of the exhaust. I've read that it is a pretty loud exhaust, but I'm not sure how loud. Some of the reviews said you have to wear earplugs while others said it has a great tone to it. It's hard to tell from watching a youtube video. For those of who who have the exhaust or have heard it..how loud exactly is it? Is it something that I'll have to wear earplugs to ride? Is it tame under normal driving/acceleration?
I like pretty loud exhausts, but I don't want to tick people off or get extra attention from the cops . I was also looking at the Musarri and Leovince slip ons. |

It's cheap crap. Like most everywhere else in life, you generally get what you pay for.

They are all pretty loud. Some louder than others but. Around the 95db range. The least noisy of all is Area P quiet long muffler.
I know the musarri is pretty tame too. It has nothing on the 2 bros. I don't wear earplugs with my 2 bros and it puts out 110db at 5000rpm. They should have the db ratings of each slip-on. |

Conical GP
I have the Conical GP exhaust on my 09, it is loud. I have ordered the baffle/db killer to quiet it down. http://www.dan-moto.com/DM_US/zx-250...oduct-461.html
I am very happy with the quality! Beautiful workmanship, almost seemless construction. Everything went together as it should and it looks great! Huge weight savings. |

If you are going over 40mph when you ride you really should use earplugs, regardless of your exhaust. That wind noise is much louder than you think it is. Prolonged exposure to high levels of noise will cause hearing loss as you get older.

Don't our helmets block most of the noise? I wear a fullface helmet and I don't really notice much wind noise..maybe I'm just not thinking about it? I also have a hard time accepting that wearing earplugs is a good idea on a motorcycle, safety wise.

Too loud for me.......
I ride 200 to 400 miles at a rip and would do earplugs if I did not put the db killer in (it has been ordered, but not in yet). I rode an 84 ci 57 FLH, J3 cam, Branch heads and 2" shotguns for 15 years, I know what loud is but the Ninja is worse as I have to always be at the "top end" just to ride the speed limits.....if I could always ride 80 mph I would leave it as is, killer sound at that speed!
I got the slipon to save weight, style and to get rid of the "sewing machine" like sound the Ninja had.....most likely I will mod the db killer to get the sound level I want..... Why did I chose the all SS one? I have been through the "carbon burn" with my 1098 and know the SS, Ti or Alu cans last the longest...... I expect the first 2 or 3" of the slipon to turn a little brown in time. |

Even the quietest $700 helmet (which I own) does not come close to blocking out enough noise. Earplugs also allow you to hear more traffic sounds. The wind noise gets numbed down alot and you can hear more traffic noises over it. Ride on the freeway with earplugs for about five minutes, then pull over and take the earplugs out and continue on the freeway. You will be absolutely amazed by the difference. I've noticed that point where wind noise gets really loud is around 30-40mph If I know I'm going to go 35mph or more I always put my earplugs in. For a quick trip to subway a mile away I leave them out.

As for the Dan Moto, I have one with the baffle in and it is louder than stock, for sure, but not annoyingly so (IMO)... I like it, but then again, they make several different exhausts cause everyone seems to be looking for a different sound...
