Exclamation

Well me and Bladeiai met up and did a quick tour around gwinnett. Took us a little over an hour and it was pretty great aside from my bike issue. We are both planning on joining up to ride through Downtown this Sunday. If anyone else is interested in just doing a group ride. More will eventually be planned and soon we will set a meet up time and location!

@NDspd...Hey Jeremy (or anybody can chime in) - what all is at Big Kahuna? I have never been and when I saw the ticket prices I figured they must have a lot of stuff going on. Any comments, suggestions, info, etc would be awesome!

It is one big event, you have a lot of AMA racing going on, then you have the Historical Moto Gran Prix, you also have past AMA champions going out and racing too. There is going to be concerts and many other events. And as always there is Vender Village.

I'm going to be there for the whole time (3 days), I'm also camping in a tent in the infield.

And also I'll be out there with my Camera equipment, so I'll be all over the place snapping pics on the track or paddock.

Everything the other Jeremy listed plus they usually have stunt shows throughout the days. NESBA and Yamaha are having a demo ride at different times. I think they do like a thing where anyone wiht a bike can hit the track, etc. The coolest part is that you can walk through the pits and see everyone doing there thing.

Last year they didn't come here b/c they could agree on a contract or dates or something. This year a company called M1 is promoting it and so far they seem to be busting their asses to make it a cool event. Every day i see on Facebook that they're adding more stuff to it.

If anyone's interested, let's do this.

I was thinking somewhere centrally located in town like Perimeter Mall area...
Anyone else interested in this?

Let's get everyone for the Sunday nights near Perimeter Mall to chime in. We could meet at the mall and then go somewhere with food and drink to hang out. Now and again I see a bunch of Porches at the Pig N Chic on Peachtree and Johnson Ferry, so that's an option.

I have Sundays off, and with the school year coming to an end, I won't even have to be up early on Monday so I'm interested in at least meeting up with you guys a few times throughout the summer.

Find twisty back road route instead.

I'm pretty newb myself Shar, got my license in November and bike in December.

Will anyone be in town on Memorial weekend, we could do a meetup that Sunday night. Would that date work for anyone?

Really depends on whether or not my brother is grilling out and whether or not we're gonna chill at the neighborhood pool as to whether or not I will be available that day.

yeah man there are some badass curves up there, but after ridin over the ridge to go down the mountain i was like that's it!? i was expecting 22 miles of twisty mania. great area though, awesome view at the top, and we saw 2 other bikes and about 2 cagers, which is great compared to the traffic at blood mountain

Damn I wasn't available last weekend. On a whim last week I went to the Cycle Gear bike night at the one on Alpharetta Hwy, was pretty decent with free pizza and giveaways. I met another 250 rider there too. Maybe we could use this as a meetup spot for the ninjette gang too.

Nice vid kimboex250

I'm from Gainesville but was just that way this past weekend riding 2 up on my little 250...that is a fun ride and beautiful views. I rode first from Gainesville to Alpharetta, then to Red Top which is nice, then up to Dalton up 75, then through Ft Mountain to Elijay and then Gainesville. It was actually the longest run I have done on a motorcycle of 260 miles by ends day. Counting picking up my friend and taking her back. Interstate, city traffic, then twisties, and beautiful views...all in one day!!!!

@kimboEX250....thanks bro! It was truly a fun and eclectic ride. I am around Red Top a lot - maybe one day we can meet there and ride out somewhere. I am not a crazy rider and really most likely will be 2 up if we chose to ride somewhere nice.....My motto is "Safe & Fun" - not everybody is that way or AGREES but its how I roll.....and I just love to ride!!!

.....oh and YEAH I got a BUSA....I love my BUSA but was wanting to test out the 2fiddy's "ABILITIES." All things considered, I will tell you she passed with flying colors!!!!!

I was in Alpharetta this week, and flew out of Atlanta this morning. Driving to the airport at 7 AM, it was just starting to rain, and the temp was still 31 or 32. I really wanted to make it to the airport before an ice storm caused havoc, and I was able to. About halfway there, I saw a full dresser Harley moving right along in the commuter lane. I don't think I'd have the courage to be on two wheels in that environment.

Glad I was in the cage when I went to work right by the airport. I got caught in the drizzle and instantly found myself in stand-still traffic from 1:15AM to almost 2:30AM. Some abandoned vehicle (break down?) caused a pile-up, entrapment, etc and all lanes were closed. It had only just happened too. I hope everyone made it.

Anyway, what were you doing in town? Sounds like you were closer than we ever were when I lived in CA!

Ever have any free time when you're here on business? I should be able to cobble together two working Ninjettes from the four so you can join in the rides.

Rarely. I'm there as long as I need to be, and am back home as soon as able. Up for dinner/drinks in the Alpharetta area, but probably not much riding time.
