Targa vs Hotbodies Tail kit?

Hey Ladies and Gents, I'm getting a 2011 250r SE and First up would be a fender eliminator and tail light kit, not a fan of cutting and drilling into new things so its either Targa or Hotbodies. (maybe others?? Suggestions?)

Is there any difference between the two besides the look/price?

Will the Targa kit be compatible with say the Shinto integrated tail light?
or
Can I replace the Tail light with an Led kit using the hotbodies tail?

Any input is welcome. Thanks!

I have the shinto tail light, it is almost the exact same as stock so you shouldnt need to cut with either of those. However I havent tried the targa/hotbodies fender eliminators but they are both no cut elims so should work. I used the hotbodies undertail and even it fit with no cutting to the bike.

The targa kits have a reputation for less than perfect fit. Gaps, etc. Another to consider is the Evotech kit. A European brand, but the U.S. distributor keeps an ebay store, and is a nice guy.

Targa is a seriously crappy product for the money. I have it. Don't buy it.

That terd ugly rear fender is a real PITA. There's not many ways around having to cut it off. Even the "no cut" fender eliminators require you to cut off the fender. I guess the "no cut" claim is in regards to the wiring? Anyhow, I went with the Competition Werkes kit and I am pleased. As long as you make a nice clean cut- it looks great. The main difference I se between the CW and the others is color- the CW is stainless and the others are black. The plate covers up nearly the whole thing so who cares.

I also got the integrated rear tail light at Custom LED and the rear end is all nice and tidy now.

While the Targa kit isn't the best by a long shot, I didn't have to cut anything for it, other than the wiring for the license plate light.

So, there are kits that do not require you to cut off the plastic fender???
